How often the paid-for maintenance falls short is shown by the 2021 TÜV building-law report: of 17,896 ventilation installations inspected, only 34.3% were free of defects (tuev-verband.de, ingenieur.de, retrieved 2026-07-15). That was a building-law inspection, not identical to the VDI 6022 hygiene inspection – but a clear signal of why a contract alone is not proof.

After the award, equova sets the agreed costs against the invoiced ones: if the calculated amount deviates markedly from the agreed one, the deviation is highlighted and can trigger a notification. Does equova replace the hygiene inspection?
No. equova does not carry out the hygiene inspection and does not replace an expert. It schedules the due inspection, collects its proof per installation and monitors that it is completed on time and in full – the technical inspection itself stays with the commissioned expert.
From how many properties is equova worth it?
equova pays off with the portfolio and makes sense from several installations or properties onwards. The Portfolio plan covers up to 25 installations for CHF 149/month (CHF 1490/year), the Verwaltung plan up to 100 installations for CHF 349/month (CHF 3490/year).
